Unlock PDF helps you create a new PDF copy without the source file’s password security or editing restrictions. It is intended for a document you own or one you have permission to use, such as an office record, a form you need to complete or a file supplied by a client. The process runs locally in your browser, so the PDF is not uploaded to PDFDaddy.
Some PDFs prevent editing, combining or adding a signature even when the person working with the file is authorised to do so. An unlocked copy can be easier to fill, sign, merge or use in an office workflow.
Removing restrictions does not change the sensitivity of the information in a PDF. Store the new copy carefully and only send it through an appropriate, authorised channel.
Review the finished result carefully before using it for office work, an employer, a school, the IRCC portal or another government website. Check page order, dates, names, signatures, readability and the file-size limit for the exact upload form. Keep your original file so you can make changes or provide a clearer copy later.
